Meet the board

The AUCAA board is responsible for organizing professional and social events for alumni and fostering connections between alumni, students and AUC staff.

Interested in joining our board? We review applications consistently and welcome alumni from all cohorts to apply. Check our vacancy here.

Bart Knibbe (Class of 2020)
Chair Ad Interim

Bart is an alumnus of the class of 2020. At AUC, he mostly focused on philosophy and political science. He served two terms on the AUC Student Council, one as External Communications Officer, and one as Co-Chair. He also helped organize Voices of AUC.

After AUC, Bart completed the Political Science Master program at the University of Amsterdam, with a focus on public policy and governance. He joined the AUCAA board to strengthen and extend AUC’s alumni network, and to give back to the community of current and former students.

Emma Krone (Class of 2019)
Secretary & AUC’s CARO

Emma is AUC's Career and Alumni Relations Officer (CARO). After graduating AUC in 2019, Emma went on to complete a Research Master's degree in Philosophical Anthropology at Radboud University, followed by a Master’s in Comparative Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam. Throughout her studies, she developed a strong interest in equity and diversity within higher education, a focus that has shaped both her research and professional trajectory.

She is committed to helping students and alumni navigate their future paths and build lasting connections.

Anke de Boer (Class of 2019)
Treasurer

Anke is a sustainability professional specializing in policy research, project management, and stakeholder engagement. She holds an MSc in Environmental Policy & Regulation from the London School of Economics. During her bachelor’s at Amsterdam University College, she focused on Economics and International Relations. As a freelance consultant, she works with climate non-profits on circular economy strategies, sustainable finance, and policy development. She is leading global partnerships and advocacy efforts in bio-based materials and climate adaptation.

Anke is excited to help build an engaged alumni community, where members can connect, collaborate, and support each other in both personal and professional growth!

Kaya Hlinka (AUC student)
AUCSC Member

Kaya is a second year science major and has always loved seeking opportunities outside of her academic endeavors. Next to her studies in Switzerland, she enjoyed having several part time jobs, doing volunteer work and sports. She was also part of TEDxAUCollege and really appreciated the networking opportunity and inspiration it offered to attendees.

As part of the Student Council, she is eager to work with the AUCAA to expose students to (some of) the numerous projects, initiatives and companies that are looking for support – especially from students with a LAS perspective and skill set. Furthermore, she hopes to continue working on the transition to Master’s degrees with the rest of the board.
